At Selah Hills Church we believe in the great commission of Matthew 28:19-20 and the call to make disciples of all nations. Our hope is to inspire, challenge and encourage the body of Christ at Selah Hills to go and share the hope that is in Jesus Christ with others on both a local and global scale. We believe in the church's responsibility to be involved and connect with fellow believers and churches no matter their geographic or ethnic background. We believe that there is mutual encouragement when a church is connected to, in dialogue with and even visiting missionaries and churches in foreign countries.

We pray that both missionaries and short term teams would be sent out from our congregation and the Spirit would stir our hearts to be hands and feet.

OVERVIEW

Orphan Relief and Rescue is a Christian Non Profit Organization that is rescuing children out of slavery and abusive circumstances. They also are helping families to overcome poverty through a Savings and Loans Program. Sharing the love of Jesus both practically and spiritually with every person that they come in contact with is at the core of everything they do.

EXAMPLE ITINERARY

When you go on a trip with Rebecca Pratt through Orphan Relief and Rescue you will be staying at, or near an orphanage Safe Home of 61 children that was Co Founded by Rebecca.

  • You will travel to remote villages where the anti trafficking work occurs. Hundreds of kids have been intercepted, or brought back from slavery from those villages.
  • You will meet the parents on the Savings and Loans Program.
  • You will meet the children who have come back from slavery, or who have been intercepted from being sold into slavery.
  • You will be sharing your testimony and sharing Jesus with the children and families that we serve, and with the village as a whole, through Community Meetings that we will be hosting in the villages.
  • You will have lots of opportunity to pray with those who are hurting and who need a touch from Jesus.

Mexico Mission Update!

Thank you all that joined us in prayer over our time in Mexico. We were so blessed to partake in this trip and watch how the Lord guided our time and did an amazing work! The six day trip consisted of street evangelism, work projects,  Mexican Independence Day celebration with the local church body, and sweet fellowship with the missionaries and church of Roca Norte. Please continue to pray for Roca Norte and the people of Chihuahua.
